One Link in the Chain Reaction

Just a quick one tonight to say watch this doco: http://www.storyofstuff.com/index.html it is so thought provoking! It does take a while to buffer and it's 20 minutes long but so worth it to expand your environmental thinking :D (How do you like those big words :P ) So after watching it, it has upped my environmental conscience and sets my cogs in motion...

Step 1) Order a Bokashi Bin . I am thinking there might be a place in Perth I can get one or I could have a search on the net because a while ago I found a page that shows you how to make you own out of a bulk mayonaise bucket (Or similar) so if I can convince DH to help me make it that would be saving money and not buying into consumerism!

Step 2) Two words: VEGGIE PATCH!!! I have a spot in the backyard that I have been to lazy to rig sprinklers up to which used to be a veggie patch SO if I pull my finger out I can get some veggies in before Winter sets in and they will hopefully be ready in spring :D

Step 3) Cut down on spending: the less I spend the less I throw out so good for the purse AND the environment!!! :D

I have more steps to add but they will have to do for now :)

If your computer is to slow to watch the doco be a great blog reader and at least click here to find out what you can change in your life :D

Hey Mel (I'm stalking you via EB LOL)

You can get Bokashis at Environment House in Maylands (8th Ave). The staff are really helpful there. (No, I don't work for them, just buy their stuff.)
