OOHHH, I am so busy this week!!! It is doing my head in and we are only on day two! LOL
Yesterday Jessie had a performance with Byford Choir, it was just up the road at the old folk's home and it was in the hour they usually have practice but it was absolutely bucketing down with rain when we got to the hall so the thought of dragging the little ones back out 5 minutes after we got there filled me with dread, luckily one of the other mums offered to take Jessie so I could stay back with the littlies, I was so pleased!!! We all did still get drenched when I decided to run to the car to get my book, I asked Hamish to play with Makenzie so she wouldn't notice me go but by the time I had unlocked the door they were both half way across the grass and soaking! LOL He said he tried to stop her but she was too strong! LOL Will ahve to remember to shut the door in future ;)

Today was the kid's school carols, we thought it was going to be carols by candlelight but it turned outto be more of a concert by the kids. I have photos and some video but will post when it is not midnight! LOL Hamish sang Rudolf the Red Nosed Raindeer with his class, it was very cute, they have been practicing for weeks so most everyone remember the actions (The teacher was down the front helping ;) ) Jessie class did a medley of songs, she was too cute, she wore her new black tutu with a Christmas shirt and stood so proud :)

Tomorrow night we have a presentation for Jessie who got nominated for "Student of the Year" at her music school :D Each teacher nominates one student and considering how many students her teacher has (She teaches flute, clarinet and sax) it was such a wonderful surprise for Jess to be nominated :) The standard of the nominees last year was amazing so I don't expect her to win but just to be nominated is huge :D

On Sunday we have Byford Carols with the choir, fingers crossed the weather improves for it!

On Wednesday Jessie and Hamish both have their school parties, luckily we only have to take in a bottle of drink for Hamish and we have already paid $3 for Jessie's party so it will be too easy!

On Thursday we have the end of year assembly, Jessie is getting the "Citizenship Award" for her class, it is basically an award for the most thoughtful, helpful classmate. It has been something she often talks about, she aims for it every year since she got it in Pre-Primary so she will be so surprised when she hears her name again this year :D She aims for the "Bookworm Award" as well but like I have told her, I much prefer to think she is being kind and caring than just being smart, anyone can be smart but it takes a special person to be kind :)

Gosh, writing it down doesn't seem so bad after all, I am so tired though because Makenzie has started waking again at night so it is a bit overwhelming in one week! LOL

Will be back later with photos :D
