Catch up...

Some little (And not so little) things have happened over the last few weeks but I have been:
a) Tired
b) Busy
c) Lazy
d) headachy (Seems to be happening a lot lately... might have to think about glasses again :-/ )
e) all of the above

so I figured I would try and cover most of it in one blog while I am watching NCIS waiting for my latest lot of Panadol to kick in! LOL

On Christmas Eve we spent half a day (That I had no time to spend!!!) at the Emergency Room after Hamish did this ^^^ to his lip! He and Jessie were outside and the next thing I hear a HUGE scream and Jessie comes running in saying "Mum, Hamish fell and there is blood everywhere!!!" He comes inside and I rushed him to the bathroom to check the damage and I discovered he put his tooth through his lip! I am not normally one to rush to the ER but when we have a through and through like that I always like to get it check out in case they feel like gluing or stitching. Apparently he had been racing Jessie on his trike and won the race so like all good bike riders do he threw his hands above his head, trike lost control and his face met the step outside the backdoor. So, we go up to the ER and sit and wait, luckily Nayd came with me as we had been about to go food shopping for Boxing Day so she took the girls for some lunch and a walk which was a huge relif, Makenzie is very much the centre of her own world these days so doesn't like sitting quietly much! LOL
After 3 or so hours we finally get taken in,nurse takes his vitals, Dr comes out and checks him over and tells me (Despite it still bleeding) that it was fine and had already started to heal so to just keep an eye on him for head trauma and gave us some AB's just incase his tooth caused an infection. So, many other ways I would prefer to be spending the day before Christmas! LOL

We lost the Byford house, neither DH or I are sad about it and we have now actually found a house we are set to build :D He flies in tomorrow night and we are going to talk to the bank (Or should a say A bank since it;s not our normal bank! LOL) The house we found has got a special offer on at the moment to upgrade a whole pile of things at no extra cost so it is a bit like fate you know, it is happening now for a reason. Here is the link to it: The Dawson by Content Living the main differences with the specail offer thugh are the study will be closed in, the master ensuite will have double doors added and double doors added to the theatre. It suits Steve because it has recessed ceilings and angled walls which he loves and there is enough room for all of us and Makenzie's clothes! LOL

Jessie now wears glasses. So far I have no photos but I might have to make that my photo of the day for tomorrow. She was struggling the other week while we were at Dome for lunch, to read the menu from across the table and has been reading things really up close so since Steve and I both wear (Or are supposed to  ) glasses we knew it would happen eventually, I was in Year 4 when I got mine so I thought we might have at least another year but when we took her to be check it turns out she is almost as blind as Steve when it comes to reading (I get confused, is that short sighted or long sighted?!) her prescription is way stronger than mine has ever been. She is super excited about the whole thing though, it is funny how often she is trying to find things to read now! LOL

HHMM, what else? We had everyone over on Boxing Day this year, all of Steve's family and some of mine (All the good ones ;) ) it was really nice, it was the first time we have done Christmas at our house and I was so proud of how well we pulled everything together. I even convinced Steve to put up our spare tree out the back to set the mood :) Once again the kids got horribly spoilt and there is no need to mention the rediculously inappropriate presents from one grandparent but overall it was a wonderful day :)

Makenzie is setting up to toilet train! I can't believe it, Hamish was so hard so I didn't hold out much hope for Miss M but she is so ready! Now it is just a matter of convincing her that the potty/toilet is good to do wees on! She knows when she is going to go and tells me in her own way (She still isn't talking much) but holds on and screams when she sits on the pot then wees in the corner when I let her up! LOL I know when she goes once on the potty she will get it but none of the normal tricks are working so I think that will be our biggest hurdle. Fingers crossed it happens in the holidays though so then we are done before school starts :)

HHMM, that's all for now, my headache is now just a dull thud so I am off to bed :)

Night,

Mel
