Update time

I have been very quiet of late, things are pretty busy here and I am having issues with my neck which means very limited computer time :(

Anyways, that's life I guess! LOL Okay, updates on Hamish, we went to the doctor yesterday and now have to go back for another ultrasound for further investigations and then have to go to a paediatrician because we have basically reach the end of the GP's expertise. Since we started testing Hamish has been talking more about what is going on and how he feels and it turns out he constantly has pain in his tummy but he only complains when it gets really bad because he is used to it always being there :( I feel so bad for him that we haven't known about it for all this time and he has just put up with it, he is so brave but I am so glad we are getting it sorted now!

Other than that he is doing really well, he had his 4th drum lesson on Wednesday night and the teacher has asked that we buy the intermediate book as he is doing so well with the beginner book so he will be using the two in conjunction with each other!
I took some video of him the other night practising at home, on my mobile, but given my tech-saavyness (Sure it's a real word, I use it all the time!) it could be staying on my mobile a while yet. Given the fact I only re-entered the mobile phone world at the start of August I think it is a pretty amazing feat just to get the video on there in the first place, extracting it from the phone is a whole different ballgame, bluetooth is well beyond my capabilities! LOL Anyways, that aside, he is doing really well with it! LOL

Jessie is also doing extremely well in her musical pursuits, Steve went to talk to her Violin teacher at school the other day because he was concerned about what she is being taught. The teacher has put marks on the violin to show where she is supposed to put her fingers BUT the marks are slightly off so she is playing out of tune. She can hear it but wasn't sure what to do because the teacher put the marks there so they must be right, right?! So,Steve went and sat in on her class (The class is run through the school, all paid for by the government, but it is a group of 4 students) and she is way ahead of the other 3 girls, which is great :) He spoke to the teacher and she said she was happy for Jessie to put her fingers where she thought they needed to go since she trusts her ear and she knows what she is doing :) It is great she is doing so well and the teacher is happy, she is getting so good at the Violin, it is nice to not have to put up with the scratchy beginner noises for too long! LOL

Jessie also got a merit certificate and had to talk at the assembly yesterday, she was so proud to be chosen to do the talk, she was given the lines to learn on Wednesday night and had till Thursday morning to learn them and she memorised it all! The other little girl had to use palm cars to remember her lines so Jessie was beaming twice as much becuase she had worked so hard to learn the lines :)

Makenzie is... Makenzie! LOL She is doing good, trouble as usual! LOL She is learning more words every day and now never shuts up but a lot of words are either made up or only I can understand them! LOL Like at swimming the other day she was laughing about "Water up Gordon" and the teacher asked who Gordon was, I had to explain it is her word for nose! LOL In her mind it makes sense, she used to call her nose a "Gonk Gonk" becuase we would make that noise and pinch her nose so it because a Gonk and has now morphed into a Gordon! LOL She has also been proudly showing everyone who will listen her new "Toilet Bear" from Gran, we gave it to her after she came out of the toilet...yeah, can you see how much fun this whole talking thing is with her?! LOL
She is currently giving me a fashion parade of every item of clothing waiting to be folded in the lounge room, oh what fun! LOL

Anyways, time for more drugs to stop this pain, I really should go to the doctor for myself one of these days huh?! LOL
