So, you know what they say, when it rains it pours... well it turns out that is well and truly the case here right now! I went to my GP today (On a side note, I so love my GP she is the best doctor every!) and it turns out I have a problem with my spine, in technical terms, I have a "Bilaterally Elongated C7 Vertebrae" and she thinks I possibly have "Brachial Plexopathy" or Osteoarthritis in my right shoulder. Great huh?! LOL Oh, and just for a change I am Anaemic again.
On a positive note, I don't have liver, kidney or any other problems, and my cholesterol level is really good so yay for me! LOL
So, now I need another X-ray and U/S, this time on my right shoulder plus an EMG which is a nerve conduction test (Don't worry, I have no idea what that means either ;) LOL) so the appointments are piling up with each new appointment, go to one and come out with 3 more! LOL Ahh, all fun and games right?!
In other "me" related news, I started the new tablets last night and I am hating them, they suck big time! My fingers are tingling all the time, I have lost my appetite, my head is full of cotton wool AND Coke tastes like shit!!! I can handle the rest but gees Louise, Coke was my last good thing! LOL It is weird though, most everything else tastes okay so I am not sure why it is affecting the Coke, last night the can I had felt like it was burning my tongue and today both the can I tried this morning and the post mix at lunch tasted like Disprin(sp?), not cool!!! Just when I was getting my love of it back after the trip to America too! LOL
Anyways, moving on, everything else is going okay, the kids had their last day of the term today so we are all looking forward to a couple of weeks of relaxation (As long as we ignore the appointments ;) LOL) I always let the kids have free dress on the last day of term, they wear uniforms every day so I figure 4 days a year isn't going to kill anyone... Jessie had on school tracky daks and a green long sleeved t-shirt with her big winter jacket over top. I told her she may be hot so make sure she took her jacket off if she needed it, she looked at me like I was stupid (As only an 8 year old can) and zipped her jacket up higher. We got to school and I got them out, gave them a kiss and sent them on their way. As I did I noticed Jessie's jacket was zipped even higher, like right up to the chin, so I called them back and asked her why. She said she didn't know "Are you worried you will get in trouble?" "Yeah, a little" she replied "Don't worry about it" I tell her "It is the last day of term, I promise you teacher won't care." and off she goes.
Fast forward tot his afternoon, it has been a bright, sunny day, and out of her classroom she comes with the brightest red cheeks I have seen in a long time and her jacket zipped up to her chin still. "Oh my goodness, aren't you hot sweetie?"
"Yes"
"Have you had your jacket like that all day?"
"Yes"
"Why didn't you take it off, you must have boiled!!!"
Bless her cotton socks, turns out she was so worried all day that she would be in trouble that she had that darn jacket zipped to the chin so the teacher would only see her school pants! They did gardening in the class garden and sport but still she wore that thing all day, the poor thing! She is so conscious of what people think and worries so much about pleasing people that she never thinks about herself and how it is affecting her, we are working on it but it will be a long road I think!
Hamish is good, doing well with drums and school, being unsurprisingly lazy at home, and felling not too bad in the stomach so all good there. He came home with a jumper from the lost property box at school today and when I questioned him on it he tells me "I don't know why, but the teacher said I could have it, she must think it will look good on me or sumin'..." Yeah, right mate! Ahh, he keeps me on my toes that's for sure!
Makenzie is good too, trouble as always :P but good all the same! She has regressed with the toilet again, not sure why, but we are having more accidents than normal so not too cool. She is so cute though so that makes up for all her mischief! LOL
Anyways, have just looked at the time so had better run and get a late dinner sorted but just wanted to update while I had a minute :)
Thanks for reading and thanks for taking the time to comment or message, those who did, it really means a lot.
