Anyways, this morning my friend came over for coffee, the one I mentioned in October, she has been coming over pretty often on the weekends and it is so good! Outside the box on my lap, I don't have a lot of friends and haven't really had friends who I visit or who visit me for a coffee on a regular basis and after M and I lost contact (Okay, truth be told, we didn't lose contact as such, I told her to get nicked after we had one too many fights... it was a bad year! LOL) I haven't found anyone to fill her gap and now we are talking again it is like the past few "missing" years haven't happened except we are both a little older and slightly more mature! LOL So, yeah, M came over this morning for coffee and we had a great chinwag, she is the person who introduced Steve and I to each other and we have been through so much together so we were reminiscing lots, scary stuff, makes me feel so old to think about it! LOL
After she left Steve had his buddy over for a jam, it is becoming a Sunday regular occurrence when Steve is home, either he goes to Gav's house or Gav comes here and the "rock out" and get all excited about new riffs and chords or whatever it is two grown men do with musical instruments in a back room that I don't venture into! LOL
So, Gav found this other chick who plays drums and she came over today too. 5 minutes after they started Makenzie came running into the lounge room screaming and covering her ears... apparently the drummer was to loud for her! LOL I guess Hamish's bangs on the drums are not quite as loud although, from my seat they sure as eggs were! LOL
So, I got the kids shoes on and walked up to mum's house for a coffee, shame she wasn't home when I got there huh! LOL Luckily, she wasn't too far away and she bought ice-creams so it was worth the wait in the garden! LOL While we were over there Jessie and Mum made play-doh and the kids all played with it outside before we went home.
The kids showing off their creations
Jessie's work of art, it is either her pop or dad in an armchair with a TV, side table and bed
Hamish's creation... despite all appearances it is not a sad looking version of a male's appendage, on the right is a bird and it's nest (With about 65 eggs in it) and on the left is a street lamp... can you see it now?! LOL
Makenzie with her... blob... she spent pretty much the whole time stabbing a blob with a melon baller (I think that's what it was anyway) till mum showed her how to roll balls and then she broke off little pieces of play-doh from one blob and put it on another blob until the first blob was all gone then she flattened the blob with the spatula! LOL She has her own style of working! LOL
(Don't mind the poor quality pics, they were from my mobile) After that we came home and had dinner, watch a couple of movies (Monsters vs. Allens before the kids went to bed, Mad Love after they went down) and then I sat to do this post... looked at the time and it is almost midnight! No wonder I feel like the day is so long!!! I still have to finish boiling eggs for lunches (I boiled them for dinner but they were still runny so am going to boil them some more for sandwiches instead.) and hang one load of washing so I can put the kids towels in for swimming tomorrow then I am going to bed... Steve is totally getting up with the kids for school in the morning! LOL
Mel
P.S. in case you didn't notice, the day didn't allow for any time to get photos processed so am aiming for that tomorrow...we'll see...
