Just a quick one today to give you a health update.
Went to the Neuro yesterday, waited 30 minutes to see him and was in there a grand total of 5 minutes, it took longer to pay the account! LOL He wasn't concerned by the arm/leg issues and was happy to see the Papilloedema is improving. He told me to "keep going about my daily life" and see him in 3 months. He wasn't concerned by the neck pain and headaches either so overall, not too helpful! LOL Meh, what can you do huh?!
Went to the GP this morning to fill her in about Dr. K and to follow up on the other weeks bloods. She has suggested going to get Physio for the neck pain and I told her that mum and dad have a great Chiro who is keen to see me so she was happy for me to go there.
Bloods, not so good. I have to start taking a double dose of Iron tabs and have been referred to Royal Perth Hospital to get an IV iron infusion. She said my Haemoglobin is pale and smaller in size than normal, not really sure what that means but she did say it could be contributing to the headaches and will definitely have something to do with my fatigue. Not looking forward to the infusion but I figure I can survive brain surgery I can survive a stick in the arm! LOL
In a twist of irony, I also got Steve's results from his blood test (He is seeing the GP because he is a terrible snorer, I mean REALLY terrible!) he also has Iron issues but his is that his Iron Stores are too high, I joked that he must be stealing all my iron! LOL She wants him to get a U/S on his liver and he also needs to get a gene study because she is worried about a condition called Haemochromatosis which is a genetic condition and could affect the kids if I also carry the recessive gene. She also said his cholesterol is a little high (No surprise there) and she will let him know everything else when he sees her next week.
So, now we just need Jessie and Makenzie to get sick and that is the whole family covered! LOL I am so in love with our GP but at the same time I am starting to dread going there, every time we do we come out with a new problem to add to the list! LOL She is so lovely and really takes the time to look into every angle so if in the end we have a well family I guess it is worth it!
Not much else to report, Jessie is home sick today with a cold, Makenzie is standing naked in front of the TV singing and Hamish is at school, all a pretty standard day! LOL
