We are home and almost back to normal :) The kids went to school today, Steve has just caught a taxi to fly out and the kids are all unpacking their suitcases at the mo, well Jessie is unpacking, Hamish is telling her off and Makenzie is overseeing... yup, life is back to normal! LOL

When I fell normal again I will work through my thousands of pics and do a day by day of our trip. It was good but honestly, I wouldn't rush back again. I am still, two days after flying back in, shocked at how dirty, expensive and over-rated the majority of LA is. San Diego was cleaner but still smoggy and expensive but again, I wouldn't be rushing back.
The kids had an absolute ball and it was an experience but I guess I am a bit disappointed by it, it cost us so much to go and in hindsight I think we would have had just as much fun if we had taken a trip to Queensland.
I guess too, for me, the trip was a bit tainted because there was literally only 3 days out of the whole trip when I wasn't sick. I had the first day (When I was jetlagged! LOL) and the last two days and even then I was still tired on the second last day so could only do a half day at Legoland before I crashed in bed for the arvo. I missed so much, even on days when I was there I wasn't really there, like at Knott's Berry Farm, I fell asleep waiting for the kids to finish on a ride. On the days I didn't fall in a heap by lunch time I was in bed at 8pm that night. It is hard not to think badly about it because of all the things I was up against, if that makes sense. Ah well, these things happen! It was an experience and everyone else had a ball so all my hard work and planning paid off :)
Anyways, have to run, will be back another day with photos etc. :)|
