See, even an almost 4yo can smile in a carseat!!!What is it with people and carseats?! Why the hell would you waste 9 months being pregnant then untold hours of your life raising your child/ren just to stick them in unsuitable seats, or bad belt/seat combos or even worse, no seats at all!!! WHY WHY WHY??????
I was sitting in my car today waiting for my sister who was buying flowers for our mum (Whole nother story there!!!) when a car drove past with two women in the front seat, because I am up high in my van I can see into other peoples cars and so I noticed the woman in the passengers seat holding a baby, probably around Makenzie's age, maybe a couple of months younger, and this baby is climbing all over her! They are speeding and in my head I see that poor child going straight through the window in an accident.
The other day I was passing a friend's car at school. She has 4 children, one is Jessie's age (7) one is almost 5, one is 4 two weeks after Hamish and the baby is almost 2... The baby is the only one in any sort of restraint and he is only in a booster with a seatbelt and NO anti-sub clip!
WTF?! What is wrong with you people?!
Is it the cost of seats? Last time I checked each child earns you enough just by being born to buy a suitable array of carseats to last a lifetime!
Is it that you don't know any better? Well take the time to read a couple of my links and maybe then you might get why it is so important!
What ever the reason, I am sorry but there is no excuse good enough in my eyes to justify not having an appropriate carseat for you child/ren! Your children's lives are in YOUR hands so smarten up and do the right thing by them!!!
