Well, school went back, Hamish is settling into Pre-Primary really well, no first day tears or anything, as a matter of fact we pulled into the carpark where the oval is and he goes "OOHHHH :( " and I asked him what was wrong and he said "HHHRRRMMPPPHHH, I thought we would get dropped at the kiss and drive so we could walk in by ourselves :( " Yup, Mister Independent that one!!! LOL
Jessie is doing really well in Year 3 as well, she got a merit certificate on the first day for being the quietest and hardest worker and in the two weeks since school started there has only been 2 days when she hasn't gotten a sticker or prize for being good! She also got accepted into the music program so on top of learning the flute she will now also be learning the violin! It is so good to see her getting so involved in her music and it seems like she has found her place in the sun so to speak :)
It is her birthday today, i can't beleive my baby is 8! Talk about time flying! LOL She is having a small party this coming weekend and we are goin out for dinner tonight but it is a pretty quiet one this year for her. We have promised she will get spoilt on our trip (More to come later on that) since it is such a quiet birthday this year.
Makenzie is doing really well, almost fully toilet trained, she is at a tough stage because she is a bit hit and miss when we go out but she hates wearing nappies so it makes it difficult going to the shops and things but she is coming along really quickly so I am sure the going out trouble will be over soon :)
Steve is now officially 28, what an old duck huh :P hehe I can only say that because I know he doesn't read this otherwise he would be on in a flash with cradlesnatching comments! LOL We had a bit of Kerfuffle with his birthday, he was supposed to be on holidays then he got called back to work to fix a truck and only flew back in on the afternoon of his birthday so we managed a nice dinner at a local Chinese restaurant, couldn't be for too long tough since he was desperate to try out the DS we bought him! LOL
HHMMM, what else?! Our house is off the market. With the way things have been going we decided to work with this house instead of trying to get into a new one so we are again changing course and going with extensions instead. After 9 months on the market it was nice to have a messy house for a week without worrying about John ringing with buyers to bring through, now it is back to trying to keep it clean again but it was nice for a minute! LOL
In other news, we are going to California!!! Qantas had a sale "Kids fly free Internationally" which means we could fly to the list of destinations and only have to pay for Steve and I! Naydene is also coming with us so it means Makenzie can also have a seat (It is a free seat with every paying adult) we are so excited, it is for 2 weeks and is over the time of the little kids birthdays so Hamish is going to be spending his 5th birthday at Disneyland, could you ask for a better present than that?! We are flying on on the 1st of May and spending 3/4 days (In negotiations with Steve on this point! LOL) at Disneyland then down to San Diego for 5 days then up to LA for the remaining days till we fly out. I am so excited and numerous times throughout each day I can be heard telling anyone who will listen how excited I am, at least it is contagious, Steve is so excited now too we just have to work on Nayd who is not so keen on America but I just keep reminding her about the shopping we will do :P Gymbo won't know what hit them when I arrive! LOL
What else?! I am sure there is more since it has been so long, I just can't think of anything else so I guess this will do me for now :)
