Been so busy lately! Steve and I went to "The Who" on Saturday night and stayed at the Hyatt over night while mum and dad and Nayd had the kids. It was a really nice night and I got to sleep the whole night through and slept till 10:30am!!! The concert was great, although we got stuck in the same row as a bunch of weirdos but it livened up the night I guess! LOL
The lady sitting 3 seats down felt the need to share her whole life story with everyone in the row loudly and obnoxiously at every interval. Her husband kept standing up and banging the metal signs behind us (We were in the top row of bleachers) The woman right next to me apparently had a cold or something because she was chewing on butter menthol type things all night but they smelt nasty and made me want to vomit and she kept leaning forward so I couldn't see past her. Her husband kept tapping with the other husband but he was tapping out of time.
The man on Steve's other side looked like he was going to murder someone and his brother was handicapped but had a great time, I think he enjoyed it more than anyone else... except Steve!
We also "discovered" a new band - Bonjah - Steve and I both agreed that they were great, not an easy feat in our house since we have such different musical tastes but they rocked :D The other band was Counting Crows! I was so excited to be seeing them, Steve... not so much, he was there for The Who and that was it! LOL I used to love Counting Crows as a teen, it was a fine line between them and Sister Hazel on who I loved more but I could only afford one CD so I ended up following SH and CC got forgotten so it was exciting to hear them live after so many years! Am now working on Steve to get a CD or two of theirs and Bonjah's debut CD but it might mean we have to get aohter CD from The Who too which doesn't excite me so much.
No honestly, I have to be nice, they are pretty impressive for a bunch of old dudes! There was lots of arm swinging and microphone twirling that they seemed to be happy with as was the crowd so who am I to judge :P
Steve was upset though that they didn't smash any guitars or other random instruments but he had to pipe down about it because Butter Menthol lady kept asking him "But why?" when he and her husband shouted for them to smash something. When he told her "that's just what they do" she kept insisting "But Why?" Like a freaking 4 year old and since I had left my 4yo home for the night I was tempted to take Pete Townsend's guitar myself and smash it, probably over her head, unfortunately we were too far from the stage and I wasn't in the mood for jail time so figured it was best just to take a deep breath (Away from her so I didn't have to smell her and hurl) and enjoy the show.
The room was nice too, beige but nice, and overall it was a good weekend :)
Steve had to go back to work early this week, apparently no one else is qualified to make this special emulsion so he had to go in to do it but it means he will be back on Friday so will be home for Easter :D We are going away for the week to a holiday home in South Yunderup so it is good that he gets to join us for half of it :D It also means he is gaining an extra 3 days for going into work early so I am happy! We still have a fair bit to organise as far as the trip goes, we bought all of our cases on the weekend (Bright pink for Makenzie, Purple for Jessie, Red for Hamish and Purple dots for me :D ) but now I need to make a list of clothes to take and all the other stuff like potty, portable high chair and we need to get the house sorted so it is nice to come home to. Only 25 days till we fly out so Steve getting extra days off comes at the perfect time!
Anyways, it is lunchtime and Makenzie has just emptied a bottle of water on the floor so I need to run!
If I don't get in before, have a great Easter and eat lots of chocolates for me :P
