It doesn't happen often on its own so I ahve to blog about it when it does! LOL
So, Makenzie has always been a bad sleeper, I don't blog about it much because it is just part of everyday life for us now but she really is a horrible sleeper. A good night here now is one wake up and staying in her own bed till midnight. A bad night... let's not even think about it! LOL It usually involves my bed (Or the couch depending where I am sleeping) very little sleep, lots of boobs and a grumpy mum and Makenzie in the morning! LOL
Even when she does sleep it is not well, she grinds her teeth, cries out about every hour, feeds a lot... you name it, she probably does it. She doesn't do any sleep well, afternoon naps are usually spent on me or the couch or screaming if I make her go to her bed.
Today, I decided something needs to be done, in the next 6 months I will be pregnant again and I will need a good night sleep each night then and I just remember back to when I found out I was pregnant with Makenzie and I had a toilet training issue (As in he wouldn't do it! LOL) with Hamish and I said as long as he is trained by the time the baby get here... and he wasn't! SO I think before I fall pregnant I need to get it sorted, it has been 2 years for goodness sake, somethings gotta give right?! LOL
So, she normally has a feed and falls asleep on the boob but today she wouldn't let me touch her while she was feeding so I told her if I wasn't allowed to touch her she could get off the boob and go to bed... and she did! She got off, walked up to ehr bed and said "nigh, nigh" and pretended to snore. I told her I was serious and she needed to sleep and she started to scream so I sat and rubbed her back and told her she was a big girl and could sleep by herself in her big girl bed. I walked out and 5 minutes later she came out. I told her "No, bed time, go thank you!" and she turned around and went back to bed. 10 minutes later she came out again, I told her the same thing and she went back to bed crying. I went in and rubbed her back again and told her it was okay and walked out.
I waited for her to settle down and she did after about 2 minutes. I then waited another 10 minutes of silence and went in to check, fully expecting the room to be trashed and there she was snoring her head off! So I had to grab the camera and get proof of it! LOL
Fingers crossed she sleeps a good while, normal naps are an hour or two so I am hoping for 2 but am not holding my breath. Then if she does well today I will keep trying tomorrow and maybe, just maybe, we might get somewhere! What do you think? Will it work?

I hope she gets into a good routine for you! Life is so much easier when you both get the break a sleep gives you!
By the way, you've been tagged on my blog at www.thesixofus.wordpress.com
Hi Mel
I read your post the other day but didn't have a chance to comment. You made comment on my blog that I made you feel more normal, well hey presto, you have just made me feel more normal. Even though my kids are a bit older than your little one, she sounds like an exact replica of what mine were like at that age lol. It was sooooo frustrating!!!
Your blog makes me smile. Keep it up!!
