Challenge 26 - Your Quick Fix Meal

I have just been on Blog This and the challenge for the week is this:

With the silly season upon us and busy schedules becoming even busier - we come to rely on those quick-fix meals.  What is yours?

Is it takeaway?  Where do you get it from and why do you choose the particular dish?  Is it a weakness?
Is it a frozen meal or packet mix?
Do you make it?  Share the recipe!
How did you discover it?
Show us pictures?

Straight away I thought of my favourite "go to" meal, the one thing I always have plenty of in the cupboard. It takes 5 minutes to make and is super delicious and has the added bonus of having Tuna in it so the kids get a hit of much needed Omega 3.
I have never been a fan of food from a box, mum used to make One pot dinners and  "Dinner Winner" type meals when we were kids and I am sure I loved them at one time but as I have gotten older I found I would much prefer to drive to Macca's than pull a box out and make a whole meal from it.
That was all thrown out the window when I discovered "Kraft Macaroni and Cheese Deluxe" it comes with a bag of Macaroni and a tin of cheese, can we get much simpler?! No more mixing up gluggy powdered cheese, just open the can and away we go. Once upon a time you could get them with a tin of tuna in the box as well but I haven't seen them for ages so now I buy as many 400g cans of Tunas as I do boxes and whack them together and there you have it

"Tuna Macaroni Cheese"

The good thing about it is it is so versatile, when I am feeling creative (Not often at the moment :P ) I add other things in, beans/peas or ham instead of tuna, anything pretty much can be added... except tomato... that night ended in a trip to Maccas! LOL

God you can't get much more artificial than cheese in a CAN, but man I loooove that stuff!

LMAO, tell me about it! I think the artificialness of it makes it all the more delicious! LOL

that's always my favourite when I am sick! SO full of fat, so obviously artificial but SO yummy!
