Tonight while I was cooking dinner Makenzie sat at the dining table and drew on her magnadoodle. It is one of her favourite things to do besides jumping on the trampoline but normally I don't see what she draws because no sooner has she drawn it that she scrubs it out and starts again (She loves the automatic cleaner thingo! LOL)
Anyways, tonight I was doing an easy-ish dinner that didn't require constant hovering so I was pottering around, doing dishes, packing lunches etc. at the same time. I went over near the dining table and saw the picture Makenzie drew and was blown away. In general, my kids are slow at things like drawing, Jessie was only just mastering stick figures in pre-primary and if it doesn't involve wheels Hamish doesn't like to draw it so this picture was pretty special!
So, being the ever believing parent that I am I asked her to draw it again. After all, I do have two other children in the house who sometimes draw like this too! LOL So, she obliged (I think it was the rubbing out that convinced her :P ) and drew almost exactly the same again so I asked her to draw it just one more time so I could get a better picture and instead of another masterpiece she gave me this....
While she was very proud of her effort I am guessing she doesn't have a career in art...although, if you look at some of Picasso's work then maybe she has a chance after all! LOL

P.S. see how I pretended like I didn't hit that button a minute a go :P
