Hello there!
Long time no see, I have had good intentions for the last week or so to get in and update but I haven't had much of a chance! LOL

Okay, so to finish off my last post - We moved in with mum and dad with the intention of staying a few weeks while we looked for a rental, everything here has been going really well - despite the fact we have 5 people and a dog crammed into two small rooms :P - and after lots of discussions it was agreed that we should try out staying here till out house is built. We did lots of calculations and it works out heaps better for us financially to stay here and just pay storage unit fees each month instead of moving into a rental. It is a learning experience for all of us, but overall it is going well. The kids are heaps happier and all seem to be content to stay here, Steve is actually helping out (Yes, I did have a slight coronary when that first happened! LOL) and I am feeling less stress as the workload is being shared over 3 people when Steve isn't home instead of just me.

Moving on, everything is going along swimmingly at home, still waiting on settlement for the block (Can't even remember if I wrote about putting an offer in...think I did...hope I did...) the bank is piss farting us a bit, have pre-approval but it is all the little nitty-gritty stuff trying to get smoothed out. We are hopefully it will happen in the next week or two though :)

House plans are coming along nicely, we have our folder to decide on colours and finishes (SOOOOO very exciting!!!) and are now waiting for the plans to be officially drawn up and get council approved and then the building starts.

Jessie is doing really well, she has just been accepted into a TAGS (Talented and Gifted Students) program for her writing, she has also been accepted into the Interschool String Ensemble, which is a big deal as normally you get invited to join in Year 5 but she is doing so well with her violin the invited her a year early :D
In other news with her, looks like she has the makings to be a song-writer, she has started writing her own music and songs and she then takes them to her Piano lessons for her teacher to fine tune them with her and they are actually turning out pretty good! I will attempt to take some video of her playing and upload it...I am sure you all know how tech-minded I am not so it may take a while! LOL

Hamish is...Hamish! LOL Some days good, some days not so good but overall is is doing well. Not much to report on him, he is plodding along well, enjoying drum lesson but hates to practice! LOL Bit like his mother was as a kid :P

Makenzie is doing good too, has had a few sicknesses over the last few weeks, she has moved up to the "big room" at childcare so I am thinking there must be new germs that she hasn't caught yet! LOL Her big news of the week is we have FINALLY figured out the sleeping at night issues :D She has slept through the night, in her own bed for 5 nights and counting :D Not that I like to use bribery but I was at my wit's end so we told her if she sleeps through in her bed all night in the morning she can have a Milo and if she comes into my bed she gets no Milo, apparently we hit on the magic words for her as she has slept through since that night! So very happy to be getting full night sleeps again!

Anyway, better run, mum is hounding me to put on a load of washing :P
